Day 3rd -Dandiyaaaaa

Sunday is supposed to be a day for relaxation for everyone including children. Children have holiday and so we had organized some competitions for children on this day of Navratri to explore their talents in field of imagination and concentration. We included drawing and memory test competition. Kids of all age groups participated willingly. Kids were grouped according to their standards and topics of drawing were given to them accordingly. All we could see beautiful drawings of these small ‘angels’. To encourage them more, chocolates were distributed to them. Memory test followed the drawing competition. There was also new change this year regarding the prizes in respect to Education. These prizes will be in the form of scholarships. The 1st prize winner takes away a cash of Rs.501, 2nd prize- Rs.301 and 3rd one gets Rs.201. All this took place at the Devi’s pandal. In the evening, there was Saanjaarti and then Dandiya began.
Dandiya is supposed to lighten up every Navratri. So, people from all over the colony willingly and enthusiastically danced to the tunes played. There was DJ right from the evening and everyone enjoyed the music to the fullest. DJ played a fantastic range of songs’ remixes of the 90’s to the latest item numbers. Everyone was dressed beautifully which gave more spice to the Dandiya raas
Later all youngsters sat all night talking and remembering the old memories. Refreshments were brought in and all enjoyed eating Aamchi Mumbai’s special- Vada pav
Sunday ended up with lots of fun, frolic, dance, masti, competitions and entertainment for one and all.
